The Philippine Volcanoes won over the UAE team with the final score of 24-8.  The crowd roared with thunder as they cheered for the Philippne Rugby Team who brought another pride and glory for the country.

Mead Johnson Nutrition's Best Starts Campaign

2012 was a special year for Mead Johnson Nutrition (MJN) Philippines, the company behind top brands Lactum 3+ & 6+ and Enfakid A+.  Aside from celebrating 50 years of nourishing Filipino children for the best start in life with its 50 Best Starts Project (a series of programs and initiatives for the marketplace and the community), Mead Johnson also embarked on a number of trailblazing initiatives in the digital space. 
Following the successful launch of the Lactum Facebook Page (now with 325k fans),  MJN Philippines launched its first ever Corporate Campaign on Facebook - The Book of Best Starts. The name is consistent with the company mission which is to nourish the world's children for the best start in life. This is a page where moms and dads alike share their children's photos of Best Starts. 
The campaign on Best Starts last year appealed to proud Filipino parents who were only too happy to share their children’s photos with the rest of the world. The Facebook Community developed a large following shortly after its launch, generating 55k fans in just 6 weeks. It received over 1,000 entries submitted by parents all over the country. Mead Johnson Philippines partnered with prominent social news network, Rappler.com which created buzz in social media by driving conversations on #Best Starts. Netizens were very much engaged that the hashtag #BestStarts became a trending topic on Twitter in the Philippines.
Aimed to create awareness for the Mead Johnson Nutrition corporate brand and its mission to nourish the world’s children for best start in life, The Book of Best Starts was a refreshing and creative innovation driven by MJN Philippines’s Digital and Corporate Brand Equity Manager Bim Gutierrez.
The success of the campaign showcased MJN’s ability to effectively reach out to moms and dads in the digital sphere. It was also proof that more and more Filipino parents are engaged in social media, given the clamor for a re-run of the campaign.

Fila Supports The Volcanoes

SOFIA THE FIRST: ONCE UPON A PRINCESS

Disney will introduce its first little girl princess with the debut of "Sofia the First: Once Upon A Princess," an enchanting, music-filled animated Disney Junior television movie for the whole family, SUNDAY, MAY 19 at 11.00am on Disney Channel and MONDAY, MAY 27 at 1.00pm on Disney Junior.  A "Sofia the First" television series will premiere in July 2013.

Set in the storybook world of Enchancia, the movie introduces Sofia, an average girl whose life suddenly transforms when her mother marries the king and she becomes a princess, Sofia the First. Sofia must learn to navigate the extraordinary life of royalty while holding on to her own hopes and dreams. Her journey to being the best she can be also paves the way for those around her to realize how special they each are.  Disney's Cinderella makes an appearance in the movie to offer Sofia some words of wisdom – princess to princess.
 
Sofia's royal adventure begins as she prepares to move into the castle with her mom, starting a new family with her step-father, King Roland II, and step-siblings, Amber and James. Helping Sofia in her journey are the three headmistresses of Royal Prep Academy - Fauna, Flora and Merryweather (the beloved fairies seen in Disney's classic "Sleeping Beauty") and royal steward, Baileywick, as well as a group of cute woodland creatures led by a wise-talking rabbit, Clover. Sofia soon discovers that looking like a princess isn't all that difficult, but displaying honesty, loyalty, courage, independence, compassion and grace is what makes one truly royal. 
Created for kids and their families, the stories of "Sofia the First" communicate positive messages and life lessons that are applicable to young children.  While she lives in a captivating world of castles, wizards and flying horses, Sofia remains a relatable peer-to-peer princess who is experiencing many of the same social situations as young viewers at home including learning how to fit in, making new friends and mastering new skills.
