Founded in 1986 and has been tantalizing palates for over 20 years and counting. From melt-in-the-mouth gourmet ice cream and warm golden waffles, to vegan desserts and light hearty breakfasts, Gelare dessert restaurants are trusted for nothing less than a sweet and savory taste sensation.

L' entrecote's Grilled Marinated Salmon

BGC is a very lovely place with its lush green surroundings. Admittedly though, I hate driving at BGC because of the traffic I have to brace in EDSA.

My wife loves Salmon a lot and one of her favorite restaurants that serves delicious salmon is L' entrecote.

If your wife is like my wife, who's into salmon, make her happy and bring her in BGC to try L' entrecote's Grilled Marinated Salmon.

Grilled Marinated Salmon, on lemon flavored risotto with chorizo, sherry tomato, lettuce and herb aioli sauce, at P595.

Chicke-Ria, grilled succulent chicken breast topped with secret herb butter sauce, fresh fries, mixed green salad tossed
in house dressing with walnuts, at P545.

Freshly baked bread and  butterf or starters.

Burger King's Thick-blend Milkshakes and Cheetos® 4-Cheese Crunch

They say, opposites attract. This old expression doesn’t only ring true to human beings, but to burgers and milkshakes too. Burger King Philippines is definitely rooting for this ideal pairing as it currently revealed that it is blending   a   special   concoction   of   thick   milkshakes—from   creamy   vanilla,   rich   chocolate,   to strawberry dreams. But these whipped creations remain in their kitchen, as they’d want to hear what you think—A yay or nay? Do you think these are great additions to Burger King’s menu?

Burger King will make these shakes available to the public, only if you want them to, because the call is yours. That’s how much Burger King values your take and taste on everything they serve. Every  slurp  of these  thick-blend   shakes  is   a   burst   of  creamy,  yummy  goodness   that   perfectly complements the unique flame-grilled taste of their burgers and the soft and crispy quality of their thick cut fries. “Burger King is keen on implementing efforts to reinvent our products. One of the many ways is to add new variations to satisfy the cravings of our consumers,” said Jo Anne Tan, Marketing Head of Burger King Philippines. “And as Burger King continues with these efforts, we hope to bring milkshake in the Philippines this year, to complete that ‘indulgent American burger experience,’” Tan added.

These  heavenly  cups   of   thick  and  creamy   goodness  will  be   surprisingly  affordable  so  they’re definitely to watch out for. Perfect Together These thick-blend shakes are perfect with the newly-launched Cheetos®  4-Cheese Crunch. This unique combination of oh-so-cheesy flavors and the favorite flame-grilled patty is made even better with the signature Cheetos® crunch. The Cheetos® 4-Cheese Crunch is made with Cheetos® Cheddar Jalapeno and 100% beef patty bringing a  cheesier,  beefier, tastier, and hotter burger experience. Sharing  the spotlight are its other   ingredients,   which   include   Mozzarella,   Swiss   cheese,   American   cheese,   and   Cheddar Cheese sauce.  But a burger as delicious as this deserves just the right kind of partner to complement it. Flatiron Back to Back with Sentro 1771 in Uptown Mall

1771 Group of Restaurants once again brings its delectable cuisine in the forefront as it opened Sentro 1771 in Uptown Mall! Sentro 1771 is conveniently located beside its sister restaurant, Flatiron at the Upper Ground Floor, Uptown Bonifacio Mall, 36th Street corner 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

“Flatiron was well received by patrons of Uptown Bonifacio. This progress alongside the emergence of various establishments in Bonifacio Global Center, specifically, in Uptown Bonifacio and the presence of a diverse community complemented with 1771’s followers garnered through the years, are positive indicators that, indeed, there is a market in the vicinity. There is a flourishing food culture and expanding Sentro 1771 is most opportune” said Vicky Pacheco, Executive Chef and COO of 1771 Group of Restaurants.

Sentro 1771 is the brainchild of Chef Vicky who wanted to steer clear of the plain and the usual by creating modern Filipino food. She has consistently been bold in experimenting with flavors and exploring ways and techniques to revamp standard Filipino recipes to extraordinary, sophisticated and world class.

Sentro 1771’s unconventional yet superb take on Filipino cuisine brings it to the pedestal as one of the most celebrated restaurants in the country. Its invasion in Uptown Bonifacio aims to cater for guests who are hungry and wanting the most satisfying treat to the palate. It can also accommodate events in its cozy function room fit for an intimate gathering of 10-30 guests.

Sentro 1771 follows the steps of its sister restaurant, Flatiron, which opened its first branch in the same mall last year.  Flatiron serves impeccable flavors of nothing but goodness of comfort food prepared on a griddle. Its menu is an eclectic collection of comfort food that is American in core with a touch of European and Asian influences. Consumers craving for a mouthwatering dining experience will be served with delectable urban comfort food.

People who flock Uptown Bonifacio can also feast on Sentro 1771’s other premium-quality modern Filipino dishes like Adobo, Caldereta, Spring Rolls to name a few. And of course, Filipinos are insanely addicted to desserts! Sentro 1771’s Keso Flan, a Filipino version of cheesecake topped with salted egg, keeps pulling diners back to eat and enjoy the amazing dining experience.

Filipinos are accustomed to the typical sinigang na baboy, hipon or isda. One will hardly think of other possible versions of Sinigang but Sentro 1771 did and it resulted in perfection. The fully brined corned beef and the rich sour broth equate to a delicious sinigang. This unique reinvention of Sentro 1771 has been the best seller through the years.

Sentro 1771 also took everyone by surprise when it transformed galunggong, a modest food one would hardly find in a restaurant, into a sumptuous classy dish served with olive oil. Coined as “Rated GG”, this dish gave the unexpected satisfaction to the high-end market.

Drawn from its name, Flatiron Brisket 6 is the restaurant’s house specialty, definitely, a must-try! The meat is slowly cooked for 6 hours to achieve the perfect fusion of tasteful ingredients and the right amount of tenderness.  One can also devour on its Chicken Piccata, thinly-pounded chicken breast fried in butter and tossed in lemon butter sauce. The richness of the lemon butter sauce is balanced by the lightly creamed spaghettini. Another comfort food that will surely fill a growling stomach is the Corned Beef Skillet sautéed with onions and tomatoes that comes with sunny side eggs and a choice of rice or potato bread rolls.

Conclude the dining experience with a bang! After savoring on Flatiron’s heavy delicious meals, diners can indulge in the sweetness of the Intense Brownie Burger, a coffee ice cream sandwiched between 2 Swiss Chocolate fudge brownies on a cream cheese sauce mirror slathered with chocolate espresso sauce and toffee sauce. Its name says it all! One can expect for an intense, powerhouse combination of these melt-in-your-mouth ingredients.

Both Sentro 1771 and Flatiron accept reservations either through phone calls with contact numbers 792-9133 (Sentro 1771) and 802-5458 (Flatiron) or through a visit in their restaurants exactly located
Check out Sentro 1771 and Flatiron on Instagram and Facebook: (Sentro1771 and Flatiron.ph).  Visit www.sentro1771.com and www.flatiron.ph to learn more about the latest dishes.

Stella Wood Fired Bistro

Having my own business gives me the privilege of staying home and being spared from the hustle and bustle of the Metro traffic. I go out mostly when necessary like bringing my kids to school and to meet my accountant, lawyers and friends.

When I go out, I want to maximize my time and meet only people whom I'm comfortable with. I hate BS.

Last week, my wife Joy of Occasions of Joy insisted that I accompany her for Raintree Restaurants' thanksgiving lunch, which was hosted by Mela Sison (Marketing Manager of Raintree Restaurants).

I met Mela a couple of times and I find her really accommodating and genuinely nice so I said yes to Mrs. Mendiola.

I've been putting off my wife's request to dine here many times in the past because, as I said, I hate traffic. With the food served, well I must say, it was worth my time and effort!

What we had:
Morcilla Sausage with Pumpkin Hummus
Fried Mushroom Chips
Sweet Beet Salad
Anciant Four Grain Salad
Woodfired Mussels

Porchetta Pizza
