Earl of Sandwich

As legend has it in 1762, John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, invented the meal that changed dining forever. It is said he was playing cards and did not want to leave the gaming table to eat. He asked for a serving of roast beef to be placed between two slices of bread so he could eat with his hands.

I'm happy to announce that Earl of Sandwich has finally arrived in the Philippines. They have branches in different parts of the world and proud to say that their first branch in Asia is located at the 4th Level in SM Megamall.

Its a flavorful depart from your ordinary run of the mill sandwiches. The bread is freshly baked daily, the ingredients are also fresh!

Once you get that first bite in, the explosion of crunch and flavor will certainly satisfy! Must try are Earl's Cobb Salad, Tomato Soup, The Earl's Club, The Full Montagu, The Original 1762, Spaghetti Carbonara. Spicy Shrimp Pasta, Hand-Crafted Wraps, Buffalo Chicken

Appreciate East Asian Cuisine from Hong Kong Roast

Hong Kong Roast started out as a side business for Mary Chan who was inspired by her travels and gustatory adventures abroad. Featured in the Hong Kong Roast menu are favorite local dishes from Hong Kong. Mary recreated these dishes to provide a pocket of sincere, casual Chinese dining in the middle of busy, impersonal Makati.
The offerings on the menu are simple and straight to the point. No pretensions and no fancy presentations.
The Salted Baked Chicken is an easy favorite. Baked under a blanket of rock salt, the dish is in fact a gentler, simpler version of chicken, with only a slight tang of saltiness lingering in its meat despite its name. Another simple light dish to try is their Celery Fish. With its thick sauce and fresh bits of celery, the textures of crunch and softness immersed in the fullness of the sauce complement each other beautifully.
Some of the meatier dishes in the Hong Kong Roast menu are the Sate Beef Hofan, and the Barbeque Roast Pork. Each meat dish bears a distinct Chinese flavor. The thick noodles of the Beef Hofan are a great pair to the beef, while the sauce made from the drippings of the Barbeque Roast Pork definitely adds richness to the tender pork slices.
Sweet and Sour Pork, another dish that has been branded as a Filipino favorite, has found an authentic reincarnation in this restaurant, with the rendition perfectly balancing the two contrasting flavors.
As rice is a Filipino staple, the regular Filipino meal is never complete without it even with the most delectable viands. Hong Kong Roast does it right with their lively Yang Chao Fried Rice.

Now, there are no more excuses to appreciate the rich cuisine we have inherited from our East Asian neighbors.
